Why an established plumber chose to open a Z PLUMBERZ franchise
Sometimes the right opportunity finds you at exactly the right time. This is exactly what happened to Juan Pardilla, owner of a Z PLUMBERZ franchise.
Moving from one job to another, Juan Pardilla had an offer to become a plumber, and never looked back. He is now an incredibly successful franchisee with Z PLUMBERZ, north of Fulton and Gwinnett in Georgia, with plans to open another franchise this fall.
“It was just the right thing to do,” he said. “The money was good. The hours were great. And it was something I was really good at. You could see the path toward success.”
After working for a corporate plumbing company, Juan Pardilla took the next logical step: starting his own business and being his own boss.
“I asked myself, ‘Why am I making companies so much money?’ I got a whole different mindset after becoming self-employed,” he said.
Pardilla said he landed on Z PLUMBERZ for a number of reasons. For one, the company’s management team was welcoming and ready to answer any questions he had. More than focusing on money, the team wanted to make sure they were a right fit for each other to ensure future success. Then, Pardilla was given a tour of the Z PLUMBERZ training facility, and was sold.
“They showed me the training facility and I was like, ‘Wow, where’s the paperwork?’” he said.
Starting a location with Z PLUMBERZ allows business owners the luxury of a strong support network with tons of training and resources should any challenges or problems arise, Pardilla said. But at the same time, Pardilla said owning your own franchise offers freedom and flexibility you don’t get with large corporations.
“You’re still working for someone at a large corporation and making someone else richer,” he said. “I decided to make my own path.”
Pardilla opened his Z PLUMBERZ franchise in November, and ever since, business has been booming. Demand has grown so much in fact, Pardilla said his team likely needs to expand to add more technicians. And long-term, Pardilla has hopes of starting another franchise location in Florida.
“We’re keeping busy,” he said. “It’s definitely a great company to join.”
